Saint Mary’s Syrian College (SMS)

In 1980, Poverty and traversing the rivers were the biggest barriers to the students of Brahamvar in pursuing graduation or any other higher education. This increasing need of providing higher education which can be easily accessible to all motivated the then Parish Priest Rev. Fr K K Kuriakose and Mr. Thomas D’Souza additional Secretary of SMS Church to establish a first-grade senior college in the year 1980. The college even received the affiliation of Mangalore University.
