Cultural Club Report – 2025–26

The Cultural Club of Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahmavar, has been actively involved in nurturing the artistic and creative talents of students during the academic year 2025–26. Under the guidance of our coordinator, the club successfully encouraged massive participation at state, national, and university levels.

State-Level Achievement

Ms. Chandana of I B.Com participated in the State Level Film Song Singing Competition organized by the Shivamogga District Cultural Artist Club and secured the Second Runners-Up Position at Shivamogga.

National Level Intercollegiate Fest

Students proudly represented the college at the National Level Intercollegiate Fest held at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore on 25 September 2025.

The Model Making Team consisting of Adithya, Shruthi and Lakshitha P secured First Place in the Model Making Competition.

Karaoke Singing Competition

On 1st November 2025, Ms. Chandana C N of I B.Com secured the Runners-Up Position in the ಮತ್ತೆ ಹಾಡಿತು ಕೋಗಿಲೆ Karaoke (Track) Singing Competition held at Kota Padukere.

Bangarada Hejje – University Level Yakshagana

The Yakshagana Team participated in the Mangalore University Level Intercollegiate Badagutittu Yakshagana Competition held at Bhandarkars Arts and Science College, Kundapura.

Mr. Prajwal Raj of III B.Com received the prestigious Best Royal Character Award (ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರಾಜ ವೇಷ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ).

Mangalore University Intercollegiate Cultural and Social Welfare Fest

Students dominated the Inter-Collegiate Social Work Competition organized by Government First Grade College & PG Centre, Tenkanidiyur.

Kanakakeerthana Singing Competition

Chandana C.N. secured Second Place in the Kanakakeerthana Singing Competition organized by Govinda Pai Research Centre and Kanakadasa Study and Research Centre, MAHE, Manipal.

MANTHANA – Intercollegiate Commerce Fest

The College Academics Team participated in the MANTHANA, an Intercollegiate Commerce Fest held at Government First Grade College, Shankaranarayana on 25th November 2025. The team performed commendably and secured First Place in the Box to Brand event and Second Place in the Business Idea (Presentation) event.

MUIC Music & Singing Competition

The college music and singing team participated in the Intercollegiate Music and Singing Competition held on 27/11/2025 in various categories, including Classical, Classical Instrumental, Dasa Keerthana, Patriotic Group Song, Kannada Bhavageethe, Kannada Janapada Geethe, and Filmy Song.
The event was organised by Bhandarkars Arts and Science College, Kundapura.
We are proud to share that Chandana C N of I B.Com secured First Place in the Dasa Keerthana competition.
The Cultural Club continues to inspire students to explore their artistic potential and represent the college at various prestigious platforms. The achievements stand as a testimony to the creativity, dedication, and teamwork of our students.

YUVA Intercollegiate Cultural & Academics Fest

On 28 February 2026, the College Cultural Team participated in the Intercollegiate Cultural and Academics Fest held at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura. A total of 25 students represented the college and actively took part in various competitions, including Fashion Show, Drama, Singing, and Group Dance. The team (Adithya, Devaraj & Lakshitha P) secured Second Prize in the Marketing the Product event.

POORNAM Intercollegiate Cultural Fest

On March 10, 2026, the college cultural team participated in the Mangalore University Intercollegiate Cultural Fest “POORNAM”, held at Poorna Prajna Evening College, Udupi. Students took part in various events such as group dance, fashion show, group singing, painting, and reel making. The group singing team secured Second place in the competition.

Overall Champions at Intercollegiate Fest

The Cultural Team of the college brought laurels to the institution by securing the Overall Championship at the Intercollegiate Fest Beyond the Scroll, held on 27 March 2026 at MGM Evening College, Udupi.

Demonstrating outstanding talent and teamwork, the students secured First Place in Group Dance and Second Place in Social Media Marketing.

With these impressive performances, the team emerged as the Overall Champions of the fest and received a cash prize of ₹10,000.

Overall Runners up at Intercollegiate fest “Chittara”.

The College Cultural Team proudly participated in the Intercollegiate Fest “Chittara” held on 30 April 2026 at Sri Sharadha College, Basrur, and delivered an impressive performance across various events.

The team secured First Place in Group Filmy Dance, showcasing exceptional talent and coordination.

With these remarkable achievements, the Cultural Team was declared Overall Runners-up in the fest and received a cash prize of ₹15,000, marking yet another milestone in their successful journey.

College Cultural Team Secures Overall Third Place at Aaroha Fest:

The Cultural Team of the College participated in the prestigious intercollegiate cultural fest “Aaroha Fest” held at LSBGFGC and brought laurels to the institution by securing the Overall Third Place along with a cash prize of ₹20,000.
